Meraki Designs prioritizes sustainability in our homes to encourage intentionality and mindfulness. We're committed to designing solutions supporting our communities and the environment. Our designs prioritize efficient space planning, intentional and long-lasting design, and a focus on the unique needs of each space.
We prioritize creating sustainable and functional designs that stand the test of time. Our inspiration comes from the organic textures, movements, and colours found in nature, which we incorporate into our biophilic designs. Natural materials are the best choice, but it's important to consider the entire lifecycle of a material to ensure its sustainability. From sourcing to installation, every step plays a crucial part in protecting the earth's longevity.

Our Sustainable Initiatives
We take pride in getting to know our clients on a personal level and encourage the use of salvaged materials. Our efficient space planning aims to reduce the waste of both old and new building materials. We source decor and furniture from small businesses, local artisans, vintage resalers, second-hand stores estate sales, and more, all with a slow design philosophy in mind. We actively seek ways to reduce our carbon emissions and ecological footprint and save furniture items from the end of their life cycle towards the landfill. Meraki Designs and Co. passionately spreads awareness about the environmental implications of fast fashion, homewares, shipping, and post-consumer waste. When you purchase a product for shipping, we are conscious of the environmental implications we have, and your purchase will be carefully preserved with sustainable or biodegradable packaging. We value the intentional waste reduction from what we produce in our studio.
